ADU Permit Drawings
An ADU permit is three reviews in one: zoning confirms size and setbacks, building code checks construction and fire separation, and utilities confirm water, sewer and power capacity. Most ADU delays come from a mismatch between those three, so we coordinate all of them in one drawing set.
We draw detached backyard cottages, garage conversions, junior ADUs and attached units, following state ADU rules where they apply and your city's local standards.

Frequently asked questions
How long does ADU approval take?
Our drawings are ready in 3–7 days. City review depends on the jurisdiction. Some states set deadlines: California, for example, requires cities to act on a complete ADU application within 60 days.
Can my garage be converted into an ADU?
Usually, yes. It typically needs a raised or insulated floor, egress windows, fire separation and utility upgrades. We assess the existing structure and draw what's needed.
Do ADU plans need an engineer?
New detached ADUs and any structural changes generally need engineered framing and foundation design. Interior conversions sometimes don't. We include stamped structural work wherever it's required.
Will you check my zoning first?
Yes. We confirm the ADU size, height, setback and parking rules for your lot before drawing, so the design fits what your city will allow.
